A welcoming urban village street atmosphere.

Elizabeth Street is a charming street in Belgravia and is in a distinctive local retail destination with the atmosphere of a small urban village. Constructed in the mid-19th Century, the street contains many fine buildings and is wholly contained within the Belgravia Conservation Area. However, prior to the scheme Elizabeth Street was dominated by vehicles (moving and parked), its pavements were cluttered and interrupted with uncoordinated street furniture, and its junction with Ebury Street was over-engineered. Grosvenor's proposals sought to address these issues and strengthen the special urban village atmosphere created by the street.
